Privacy notice
Full privacy notice
At ENEGRIN we use your personal data only to handle what you ask of us and for what you authorize. This notice explains what data we collect on enegrin.com and on the Ollin Platform, what we use it for, who we share it with and how you exercise your rights, under Mexico’s Federal Law on the Protection of Personal Data Held by Private Parties (Ley Federal de Protección de Datos Personales en Posesión de los Particulares), published in the Official Gazette of the Federation (Diario Oficial de la Federación) on March 20, 2025.
This is a courtesy translation. If it differs from the notice in Spanish, the Spanish version prevails (section 13).
1. Who is responsible for your data
ENEGRIN SAPI de CV (“ENEGRIN”), located at Calle 25a No. 115, Col. Lindavista, Cd. Anáhuac, Chihuahua, C.P. 31600, Mexico, is responsible for the processing of your personal data.
Our Personal Data Department answers your questions and your requests about your rights:
- Email: desarrollo@enegrin.com, with the subject line “Datos personales” (personal data).
- Phone: +52 (625) 585 0918, Monday to Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
- In writing, at the address above and during the same hours.
2. What this notice covers
This notice applies to the data we collect on enegrin.com, in Spanish and in English (forms and requests for a call, a visit or a demo), on the Ollin Platform (registration, account and simulation of your bill) and in the ENEGRIN app, and to the emails you send us. It also applies to the data obtained automatically while you browse (section 7).
To give you access to the Ollin Platform or the ENEGRIN app, we process the email and the password of your account. Your rights and the contact channels are those in this notice. You can ask us to delete your account by writing to desarrollo@enegrin.com with the subject line “Eliminar cuenta” (delete account).
3. What data we process
| When | What data |
|---|---|
| Contact form | Name, company, business email and, if you provide them, phone and message; whether you request a call or a visit, and the topic you are interested in, if you choose one (for example, BESS or cogeneration). |
| Ollin Platform: registration and account | The data you register with, such as your name, your company and your email, and the password of your account. |
| Ollin Platform: simulation of your bill | The bill data you enter (tariff, CFE division, maximum demand, kWh per period, kVArh and month) and, if you upload the bill file (PDF or photo), what it contains: name or company name of the account holder, service address, service number, consumption and amounts. |
| Cogeneration assessment | Your contact details and those of your plant: demand, gas consumption, steam and city. |
| Visit or demo request | What you want to see, city and preferred date, if you provide them, and the consent boxes you tick. |
| Your email address, your name and the content of your messages and files. | |
| While you browse | IP address, browser and device type, language, pages visited, date and time, referring site, approximate location derived from the IP address, and actions on the site and on the Ollin Platform (for example, bill uploaded, simulation viewed or request sent) and, if you arrived from an ENEGRIN ad, the identifier of that click. Unless you decline cookies, also the advertising cookie identifiers. |
Sensitive data. We do not process sensitive personal data, such as data on health, ethnic origin, beliefs or sexual orientation. Please do not include it in your messages or your files.
Financial data. The consumption and amounts on a CFE bill describe a plant’s energy spending. If the account holder is an individual, they may be considered financial (patrimonial) data; that is why, when you upload your bill to the Ollin Platform, we ask for your express consent.
Data about other people. If you give us data about another person, for example a bill whose account holder is someone else or a colleague’s details, you confirm that you made this notice known to them.
4. What we use your data for
Purposes necessary to handle what you ask of us
- Responding to your request for contact, information, an appointment, a visit or a demo.
- Calculating your simulation on the Ollin Platform: reading the data on your bill (automatically when you upload a file), reproducing your bill with your tariff’s formulas and estimating your savings with BESS.
- Creating and managing your account on the Ollin Platform.
- Preparing your formal proposal and assessing whether an ENEGRIN system suits your plant technically and economically.
- Recording your request, assigning it to the right engineer and following up on it.
- Organizing visits to ENEGRIN BESS in operation and demos of the platform.
- Protecting the site against abuse, bots and fraud.
- Complying with legal obligations and responding to requests from competent authorities.
Without these purposes we cannot handle your request. If you do not agree with them, do not send us your data; you can also object or revoke your consent as explained in sections 8 and 9.
Purposes that require your consent
- Follow-up with your figures: sending you each month your simulated bill with that month’s tariff.
- Sending you ENEGRIN marketing communications: guides, tariff updates, invitations and news about our products and services.
- Measuring our advertising: knowing whether a visit, call, email or request came from an ENEGRIN ad.
- Showing you ENEGRIN ads on other websites after you visited ours (remarketing).
We only use the first two if you give us your consent, with a box that appears unticked on the form or on the Ollin Platform. You can decline advertising measurement and ads on other websites with “Decline” in the cookie notice or, at any time, with “Cookie settings”, at the bottom of every page (section 7). Refusing does not affect the necessary purposes, and you can withdraw your consent at any time (section 9).
5. Who we share your data with
Service providers working on ENEGRIN’s behalf
To operate the site we rely on service providers that process your data only on ENEGRIN’s behalf and under its instructions, with confidentiality and security obligations: hosting and security of the site and of the Ollin Platform, email delivery, automatic reading of the bill with artificial intelligence, web analytics and advertising measurement (Google). Some are outside Mexico, for example in the United States. This disclosure to service providers is not a transfer and does not require your consent.
Transfers
| Recipient | Purpose | Does it require your consent? |
|---|---|---|
| Companies of the Córdova Group, to which ENEGRIN belongs, that operate under the same internal processes and policies | Carrying out the engineering, construction and management of the project you request or contract | No (Article 36, section III of the Law) |
| Technology partners of our international group, in Mexico or abroad | Organizing your visit to their plants, only if you request it | Yes. You give it with the transfer box on the visit form. |
| The company where the BESS you visit in Mexico operates | Giving you access to its facilities for the visit, only if you request it | Yes. You give it with the access box on the visit form. |
| Google, our advertising provider | Showing you ENEGRIN ads on other websites after your visit (remarketing) | Yes. You accept or decline it in the cookie notice, and you can change it at any time with “Cookie settings” (section 7). |
| Competent authorities | Complying with a law, a court order or a duly founded and reasoned request from an authority, or defending a right in court | No (Article 36, sections I, V and VI of the Law) |
Transfer clause. If you ask to visit plants of our international group, the form includes this box, unticked: “I agree that ENEGRIN may transfer my name, company and contact details to its technology partners in the international group to arrange my visit to their plants.” If you do not tick it, we do not transfer your data, and we can offer you a visit to ENEGRIN BESS in Mexico or an online demo. Whoever receives your data assumes the same obligations as ENEGRIN toward you.
Access box. If you ask to visit ENEGRIN BESS in Mexico, the form includes this box, unticked: “I agree that ENEGRIN may share my name, company and contact details with the company where the BESS I visit operates, to give me access to its facilities.” If you do not tick it, we do not share your data, and we can offer you an online demo.
6. How to limit the use or disclosure of your data
- Unsubscribe with one click from the link in every follow-up or marketing email.
- Ask us to add you to our exclusion list so you stop receiving marketing communications, by writing to desarrollo@enegrin.com. We confirm your registration by email.
- Ask us to delete the file of your bill.
- Decline advertising measurement and ads on other websites with “Decline” in the cookie notice or with “Cookie settings”, at the bottom of every page.
7. Cookies, web beacons and similar technologies
We use cookies (small files the site stores in your browser) and similar technologies that obtain data automatically while you browse.
| Type | Purpose | Data obtained | How to disable them |
|---|---|---|---|
| Essential | Making the site and the Ollin Platform work: language, your account session and protection against bots and abuse | IP address, browser data and session identifier | Only from your browser settings; if you block them, the Ollin Platform or the forms may not work. |
| Cookieless analytics | Knowing how the site is used and improving it | Pages visited, actions on the site, device, referring site and country, in aggregate form; it installs no cookies and does not identify you | It does not need to be disabled; you can block it from your browser. |
| Advertising | Knowing whether a visit, call, email or request came from an ENEGRIN ad, measuring how many contacts our ads generate and showing you ENEGRIN ads on other websites after your visit | Ad click identifier, advertising cookie identifiers, pages visited, date and time, IP address and browser data. If you send the form, also your email and phone, encrypted, to match your request with the ad | With “Decline” in the cookie notice, with “Cookie settings” at the bottom of every page or from your browser. |
| Web beacons in emails | Knowing whether an email was opened and which links were used | Date and time of opening, IP address and device type | By blocking image downloads in your email program or by unsubscribing. |
Advertising cookies are installed by Google, our advertising provider, after your first interaction with the site, and never if you choose “Decline”. Google and other ad providers may show ENEGRIN ads on other websites, and they use cookies or your device identifiers to choose them based on your previous visits to our site. You can opt out of Google’s use of cookies for ads at google.com/settings/ads, of other providers’ use at networkadvertising.org, and of your phone’s identifiers from its settings. Your choice is stored in your browser, and you can change it at any time with “Cookie settings”, at the bottom of every page. We do not use social media cookies.
8. Your ARCO rights
You have the right to access your data and know how we process it; to rectify it if it is inaccurate or incomplete; to cancel it, that is, have it deleted, when it is no longer necessary; and to object to its processing for a legitimate reason, including automated processing that produces unwanted legal effects for you or significantly affects you. In Mexico these are called ARCO rights: access, rectification, cancellation and opposition.
- How to request it: write to desarrollo@enegrin.com with the subject line “Derechos ARCO” (ARCO rights), or deliver your request in writing at our address.
- What to include: your name and an email or postal address for our reply; a copy of your official ID or, if your representative acts for you, the document that proves the representation and their ID; the right you want to exercise and the data it refers to (except for access); and any information that helps us locate it. To rectify, state the correction and attach the supporting document.
- Deadlines: we reply within a maximum of 20 business days from the day we receive your request and, if it is granted, we make it effective within the following 15 business days. Each deadline may be extended only once, for an equal period, when the case justifies it; if that happens, we will tell you.
- Delivery: once your identity is verified, we deliver the information by email in digital format or as a copy at our address, as you prefer.
- Cost: exercising your rights is free. Only shipping or reproduction costs could be charged, plus what Article 34 of the Law provides for requests repeated within less than 12 months. If you give us the means to reproduce your data, we deliver it at no cost.
If you are not satisfied with our reply, you can file a data protection request with the Ministry of Anti-Corruption and Good Governance (Secretaría Anticorrupción y Buen Gobierno) within 15 business days of the date we notified you of it. If we do not reply, you can file it as soon as the deadline for our reply expires (Article 40 of the Law).
9. How to revoke your consent
You can revoke the consent you gave us at any time, without retroactive effect, through the same channel you used to give it or through the channels in section 8:
- Monthly follow-up and marketing communications: the unsubscribe link in every email, with one click.
- Advertising measurement and ads on other websites: “Cookie settings”, at the bottom of every page, then choose “Decline”.
- Any other purpose or transfer: write to desarrollo@enegrin.com with the subject line “Revocación” (revocation).
We handle revocations within the same deadlines as ARCO rights. If you revoke your consent for a necessary purpose, we may not be able to keep handling your request.
10. Retention and security
We keep your data only for the time needed for the purposes of this notice and to comply with legal obligations; after that, we block it and delete it.
We apply administrative, technical and physical security measures to protect your data. If a security breach occurs that significantly affects your financial or moral rights, we will inform you immediately so you can defend them.
11. Minors
This site is intended for companies and professionals. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.
12. Changes to this notice
We publish any change on this page, with its update date. If a change adds purposes or transfers that require your consent, we will also notify you by email, if you gave it to us, and ask for your consent before applying it.
13. Authority and language
The authority on the protection of personal data held by private parties is the Ministry of Anti-Corruption and Good Governance (Secretaría Anticorrupción y Buen Gobierno) of the Government of Mexico.
If you read a translation of this notice, the Spanish version prevails.
