Frequently asked questions

What happens if savings come in lower than expected in a given month?

You never pay more than you would have paid CFE without the system; that is a contractual guarantee. How that month is settled is defined in the proposal.

What if CFE lowers its rates?

Savings are always calculated with the tariff in effect that month. The guarantee is the same in every case: you never pay more than you would have paid CFE that month without the system.

How do you know what I would have paid without the system?

With two meters and the same CFE formulas and tariffs for that month. Both figures are calculated the same way, VAT included, so the comparison is like for like. The full method is delivered in writing to your auditor or finance team when you sign.

What happens if my plant closes or relocates?

The system can be relocated: it is integrated in a cabinet or container and can be installed at another plant. The contract sets out from day one how it is settled in that case, with no surprises.

Can I buy the system before the contract ends?

Yes. The purchase option is part of every proposal, from the start or later on.

Who handles the filings with CFE and the authorities?

ENEGRIN, under both options.

How long is the contract, and what happens at the end?

For BESS, between 10 and 15 years; for cogeneration, between 15 and 20 years. At the end, you choose: buy the system, renew the service or end it. Your share of the savings and the exact terms are set in the proposal, based on your bills.

What warranty does the equipment carry?

During the contract, ENEGRIN is responsible for the system: maintenance, repairs and component replacement are included, and you pay nothing for the equipment. If you buy the system, the warranty on each component and ENEGRIN's service are defined in the proposal.

Why can ENEGRIN install and operate the system without any investment from me?

Because the system generates measurable savings every month, and those savings pay for the service. Our EMS and our platform are built for CFE's tariff rules. That is why we can commit to the result, and why we publish it.
